That would very much depend on where in Ireland she lived. However, I have been able to find a few resources for you,that will hopefully prove helpful. Today, the governing authority for Nurses and Midwives in Ireland is the “An Bord Altranais”, which was created in 1950. Before that, there were two separate boards, the Central Midwives Board and the General Nursing Council, which is where nurses were registered, which had each been established in 1918 & 1919, respectively.You can read a little more about that development here:
